"Crazy Boots"

The group was initially founded on 7th september 2001 in Kuldiga. After some time new groups were created in nearby towns Skrunda and Basi as well as in capital city of Latvia - Riga. All the groups are lead by linedance instructor Irita Rumbeniece. The ages of dancers are rather different as well as the dance styles - we dance everything - irish dances, classic country, disco, funky and a lot of other styles. The dancers are really active and don't give up even when the dances seem to be hard to learn and really complex. The atmosphere in the groups is always friendly and for many of the dancers it's the only chance to get out of the daily routine. Linedance instructor Irita says: "My dancers is all my life, like a family, that I can't live without."

Repetitions for all of the groups are once a week.

"Crazy boots" are dancers from all around Latvia. They are really active, participate in linedancing events and organize ones by themselves. Mostly they try to show them as attractive and full of great ideas. The best part is - they really succeed!

Most important events during the last year:

  • Participation in setting Guiness world record,
  • Crhistmas charity event "Laimes atsledzina" (Key of luck),
  • 3rd Latvian linedance festival near Ungura lake,
  • 4th Estonian linedance marathon in Parnu,
  • 3rd Latvian linedance marathon in Saulkrasti,

For us it's not just dancing - it's part of our lives!
